Lists: What I listen to on my way to work

In late 2013 and the first half of 2014 I worked at IKEA. To get there I cycled 45 minutes each way. That's a lot of time sitting on a bike. Pretty soon after I started working at IKEA I figured I wanted to do something during those 1.5 hrs a day, and soon I started listening to audio books. Since then a lot has changed, but I still ride my bike each day and I still listen to audiobooks during that time.

Since then I've listened to:
The Hunger Games trilogy;
- all 7 Harry Potter books (the Dutch version);
His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman (it is actually narrated by Philip Pullman himself, which makes it extra cool);
- the Divergent series;
- and again all 7 Harry Potter books but in English this time (read by Stephen Fry - that man is brilliant. Brilliant).

I guess it's safe to say that I'm loving audio books. I also think it's quite obvious that I love Young Adult books :)

And then, about a year ago my favourite blogger in the whole wide world, Elise Blaha Cripe, launched her podcast Elise Gets Crafty. It was the first podcast I listened to, and it made me want more.
I started listening to The Lively Show by Jess Lively, and it soon became a favorite. One I looked forward to downloading each week. It's upbeat, motivational, super interesting. I love how she asks any question that comes to mind, she makes sure you really get to know her guests.
And then... I fell down the Joy The Baker rabbit hole. I started listening to the earliest episodes first, and pretty much started binge listening. Tracy and Joy are the funniest, sweetest and sincerest girls. I'm around episode 100 now, and I'm glad I still have many left!

Last Thursday I picked up my drivers licence, so from now on I'll mostly be driving to work, instead of the bike-train-bike routine I had going on since June. Since I'm quite a newbie on the road I don't think I'll be able to listen to actual books (at least for the first few months) and still focus on the road, but I might try listening to a podcast soon :)
