Februari 14-22. Of sunrise, baking and a job hunt.

Februari 14th - Valentine sunrise. The idea was to sleep in (got a bit late the evening before...), but for some reason I woke up early, to this beautiful sunrise. I grabbed my camera, took a few shots and went back to sleep. When I woke up an hour later, the sun was nowhere to be seen, and did not make a reappearance. Dunno why I woke up, but I'm glad I did!

Februari 15th - Needs cleaning. My laptop is SO dusty...

Februari 16th - Glorious life. 

Februari 17th - Poffertjes! This is a dutch thing, they are like sweet mini pancakes, they taste sooo good! We recently bought a poffertjes-pan, and since we're hosting a poffertjes-and-a-movie evening next week, the pan had to be tested ;-)

Remember that presentation I had last week, for a job application? Myeah, didn't get the job. So today I went on a job-that-pays-the-rent hunt... Not sure yet if the hunt was succesful, I'll hear back from a couple of stores somewhere next week.

 Februari 19th - Hi there! I figured it was time for a selfie again.

Februari 20th - Washi tape. I love this stuff, but it's kind of expensive... So I did a little happy dance (on the inside...) when I saw that Paperchase had a 50% discount on all Valentine's products :)

21st of Februari - Omnom. I'm on a no sugar, low carb diet, so I'm always on the hunt for recipes that fit the diet, but are still tasty. These are 2 ingredient cookies: only banana and oats :) The taste is not optimal just yet, but I have the feeling I'll figure that out just fine :)

Februari 22nd - Chaos. I've been preparing a meeting with out group from church tomorrow, and the research got a bit out of hand...

I can't believe my month of a photo each day has gone by so fast, only 6 more days! I'm not sure yet which project I'm going to do next, but I'll keep you posted...

Playing catch-up

It's been a weird week, full of preparations for an important presentation, a job interview, carnaval, a moviemarathon with my college friends... All in all, I didn't have much time or energy to upload. So I'm gonna play some catch-up today ;-)

Februari 6th - Sun, finally! The weather has been very grey and dull these days, it's typical Februari weather. In the Netherlands there are very little things you can be certain of, weather-wise, but Februari is always grey, boring, drowsy. So as soon as the sun makes an appearance, I'm getting out of the house!

Februari 7th - Drops of Jupiter. I love the blue sky behind the fresh raindrops on my window. 

Februari 8th - Winter skies. Today I had a big deal presentation for a job application, and by the time I got home I was exhausted. So a shot out of the window will have to make do for today.

Februari 9th - Therapy. Whenever I'm stressed out, baking has some serious therapeutic effects. Also, eating the cupcakes (or whatever I'm baking) afterwards will do the trick as well ;-)

Februari 10th - Sunburst! This is my first attempt at a sunburst, and I'm pretty pleased with the end result. I read a tutorial about it recently, and while waiting for the tram in Amsterdam, I decided to give it a try :) 

Februari 11th - Crap. Today was just not a good day for photography. Or for anything, for that matter. I guess I did a bit too much carnaval celebrating last night...

Februari 12th - Late night snack.

 Februari 13th - IKEA! I've collected IKEA catalogues for years, and all they do is collect dust. So I'm turning them into sort of an inspiration board, which takes up a lot less space!

Februari 4th - Visitor. This little fellow was sitting in the tree in front of our kitchen window. Usually when I go get my camera to take a shot, the bird has long gone by the time I'm back. With this guy, it was a whole different story. He sat there for about 5 minutes, changing poses from time to time :)

1 photo every day for Februari

I have to admit, I miss my 365 project. It was nice to have to take pictures everyday... Since I was looking for a new project anyway, I decided to do a mini project: a photo everyday for Februari. I'm planning to do a project using prompts later this year, but for now it's just a project 28 :) I'm back!

Februari 1st - Scarves. Today I organized my scarves, and realized I have way too many...

Februari 2nd - Bubbles bubbles bubbles! 

Februari 3rd - Blue. These are the Grape hyacinths we got from Imres brother, I love them :)
